I’m guessing it’s chip-limited and intake/exhaust limited to meet various MPG standards. Probably very, very easy to add 30-40 mph to that top speed.

Plymouth Prowler
Ham drawer.
No it isn’t and no it doesn’t. A horizontal frame, properly tilted, would have shown the entire arc of the action and kept the entire field of action (airbag/people/car) in the ending shot.
Okay, I’ll even concede that some think it looks fast.
My point was the “smooth and powerful” part, I.E. a GT car, because no was/is NOT an “exotic”. Exotics/Supercars are a very specific category of Ferrari, much less any luxury car.
You and twenty five other people not reading the topic. Cars that SEEMED FAST BUT WERE SLOW.
Who cares?
Can’t wait to get the tailgating whiners here to be put into autonomous cars so they eventually see that even slow trucks moving in an out of the left lane will keep traffic moving MUCH faster than idiots hitting the gas and the brake every few seconds.
You might want to note that his manifestos are created by a writing staff of at least 12 writers. He’s a performer, not a sudden genius of sociology and politics. Though he probably no doubt contributes, like Jon Stewart did, it’s mainly the effort of a group of very witty writers.
Wow. So the more I watch Twitch and YouTube gameplay channels, the more they look like prosperity churches, taking advantage of mentally downtrodden individuals (those who spend money on subs and donations) who think they’re buying a new friend.
Yeah, the hilarious part is that I have connections to FCA personnel, so I’ll actually get my hands on this car for a week or two if I want. I’ll buzz around town and the countryside, enjoying my ass off, take it to a few beaches, go to few nice restaurants, and just enjoy the car without once taking the time to…
Yeah, you’re gonna get that here, it’s not a site for actual auto experts, it’s for seriously engaged auto “gossipers”. Which means you get the same highly opinionated, often factually incorrect, garbage comments that you get while talking with neighbors over the back fence.
1/10 troll by someone who will never own or fly any of these aircraft.
A TBM or Malibu are much larger aircraft. This is a sporty coupe, those are big SUVs. Everything about the turboprops, including their engines are bigger.
Way different price points, mission requirements, and performance levels.
Except that wasn’t the point of the article at all, so you’re totally off base. The article is SPECIFICALLY about using Gold as a currency in a PRIMITIVE CULTURE that is just starting up, such as ancient times or modern society after a huge disaster that destroys current banking systems entirely.
Gold’s “usefulness” is secondary to its role as a currency. More important is that it is quite rare so it can’t be “duplicated” by just digging huge quanties up, it doesn’t tarnish or disintegrate too easily so it’s relatively durable, and it’s easy to reshape into smaller quanties (coins, jewelry, etc.)
Touch and gos are performed in any aircraft to save a ton of time and let you perform a lot more landing practices without having to interject turning around and slow take-off rolls in between landings. Or in the case of carrier aircraft, without having to go through multiple positioning and hook ups for cat launches.
One issue I can see is that sometimes you need multiple impulses in one direction to simulate an activity. With cables, you will either run out of “in or out” distance on the winch and not be able to apply a force until you “recenter” the capsule.
Not actually. They spend about 90 percent of their time cooped up in grubby offices writing or just traveling from location to location on commercial transit. The stuff you see on TV is a tiny portion of their working lives. Sorry to crush the fantasy, fans.
