So it all started last Saturday morning when my friend Chris called me up to tell me he was about to buy a running and driving 2004 Crown Vic P71 and asked if I wanted to go half on it. He sent me this screenshot and being the impusive ass that I am, I said DO IT.
Even wired it for headrest speakers :D
Literally had this down in under 20 minutes of playing the game lol
They do take forever to ship but I figured hey I do get a 30% discount and they are quality brand names. Duralast calipers, Brembo rotors..... oh wait they sent me just fucking one of those. So yeah apparently even though their picture shows this:
The results are a lot more impressive in person. I used CarBrite #1 Compound with a foam compound pad then used 3M Perfect it with a Meguars foam polish pad and finally I used Collinite Wax with a red Griots foam wax pad. This was all done with a Griots 6" DA polisher. It’s safe to say this car has single stage…
A fairly beat up Momo Montecarlo for $25.....
Not too bad for absolutely destroyed 20 year old paint.
While it was a slow boat of a vehicle and burned more oil than gas, it was endlessly entertaining. Also yes I know my finger was in the shot at the beginning. And no, nobody involved or even managing at the time works at this dealership anymore.
I thought I’d try this too since I have both. It actually looks better than TM2 in some aspects. The low-poly models don’t have nearly as much texture warping and the textures themselves in the background are a lot more detailed.
