Try playing Test Drive Unlimited now that the servers have been shut down, it's so boring. The best part of that game was catching up with a random group of cars and cruising. I see no problem with always online in a game focused on multiplayer. It should be game dependent and not system dependent.

A NASCAR cup car maybe costs that much for research and development at the beginning of the generation but definately not over $200k to build.
At the Cadillac/GMC/Buick dealership I work at, I think I saw more GMC Acadias go more than anything else. We did have a lot of XTS and ATS go but the Acadia basically outsold everything. Kinda funny considering it's one of the least reliable cars you could possibly buy.
