OK, I’ll ask the question: In a democracy, why do politicians need to be saved?

Well, we are not the only ones who do that. I was reading an article on the T-72, and it talked extensively about various export versions - like the ones we faced in Iraq. Some things make sense - like not having radiation curtains inside, others suck for the customers - like less armor.

I think they are trying to solve today’s problems with yesterday’s thinking.

I think he wrote Yemen instead of Morocco.

Can you imagine what fun you would have in a yacht with one of these, when a Backfire bomber flies overhead in international waters...

Defensive Weaponry: 2 Mk56 Sea Sparrow launchers, 2 RIM-116 Rolling Airframe Missile launchers, 3 Phalanx CIWS”

Whenever I see this I always think “GODAMMIT Phil, do you even know which side is Starboard?”

It would seem like this weapon loaded to the gills with BLU-108 submunitions would make a great gift to Ukraine. Takes out Soviet armor, and cannot target civilian populations... what’s not to love?

That has less to do with the sensors on the drone and more to do with the censors back at home. Yes, I spelled that right. When we can’t get the information - because it is censored from us - we can’t hold those who are making these decisions accountable.

IIRC, EOtech addressed this picture stating that the sight could be mounted either direction and it would still work correctly. I think it was designed this way.

This is a really good picture. It brings the extraordinary out of the soldier

Here, take this “,” and this “.” - it’s obvious they are broken on your keyboard or phone, so you can copy and paste them on your future posts so they are readable and you don’t look like the crazy babbling person in front of 7-11 ;)

This would be a perfect experiment for one of those microsatellites. Take a Cubesat and cover it with solar collectors. Give it a spin on the horizontal axis for stabilization and turn the drive on. If it starts to change its orbit over time, it works!

You forgot:

Exactly. I wonder if they would offload the arms on the ship as a way of “publicly de escalating the situation” to help prevent “more needless civilian casualties in Yemen”. Everyone is acting like this is a terror attack; this seems more like a state acting within it’s lawful jurisdiction.

Tyler should have that meme as a drag and drop icon, so it can be added multiple times to nearly every post.

Also:

Apparently, all this time I had been talking about a weaponized Snowgoose! So for the following posts, imagine the Snowgoose with a low recoil .50 stuck out the side AC-130 style and a camera gimbal. It would strafe targets in circles rather than head on like the A-10 does.

Fantastic post - thanks for putting your knowledge down for me to learn!
