Oh man, that would be quite the interaction/convo that I would love to witness.

Yeah, “makes a lot of money” is not the same as “has a lot of money”
If you don’t mind me asking, why on earth would you ever want to drive this abomination?
Pray some poor idiot slams you hard enough to kill the battery pack and that your gap insurance covers your stupidity. Otherwise keep driving it or rent it out on Turo and let one of those idiots ruin it.
It doesnt matter if he has a lot of money, this is one of the quickest ways to not have that lots of monies. Unless he hurls a ton of cash at this, its going to be a snowball rolling down Everest.
I was once a mechanic and the number of 6 figure car drivers that are running around with bald tires and begging their mechanic to put in cheap regular oil instead of synthetic oil is insane. Half of these guys don’t have 2 dimes to rub together.
If you are in the US, assuming that the debt is yours and not jointly owed with a spouse, your debt dies with you. Of course, any assets of your estate may have to go to settle the debt, but it’s not your next of kin’s responsibility to pay it per se.

The owner “didnt bother”? Maybe had more pressing issues happening for the next hour?
Every car: electric, hybrid, or ICE, should be legally required to always have at least one 100% mechanical lock and door mechanism.
Doesn’t even need to be that, anything with a point that you can hit from the other end will work to be honest. That said this should never have happened. Also something I learned from a misspent youth, porcelain, like say from part of a spark plus works REALLY freaking well to shatter a car window lol.
There was until the OTA wipe request got sent from Austin.
What’s more, Pineda has since discovered that the footage captured by her car in Sentry Mode has reportedly been wiped from the car’s memory, meaning that no footage of her and Ortega attempting to open the car to rescue the child remains.
