I’m sure it has nothing to do with their lucidicrous prices.

I mean, it is too late. Everyone who would have bought an Air already has a Model S, EQS, i7, or Taycan. If it preceded any of those it would have sold better than it does now. Maybe not sold well, but better.

Chinese Consulate general is calling this a “violent attack” and is demanding that the driver’s actions to be dealt with swiftly”

there isnt anything “too late” about their approach.  Its not like people arent buying cars anymore.  Their car is just too expensive and they are largely unknown by common folk.

I had a sliver SVT Focus and my mom had a silver SRT-4. In the end she ended up selling the SRT-4 and taking my Focus when I went off to college because in the rain, the SRT was just a little too much for her.

Their biggest problem might’ve been one of egos. Lucid was started by former Tesla founders (the real founders) who were ousted by Musk.

It is coming (Gravity) and it will be priced similar to the Air, meaning there won’t be much of a market for that either. Don’t even get me started on resale of the Air sedans, it is BAD.

Judging by resale prices on 3rd party auction site, buying is a HORRIBLE idea. I have seen multiple Air GT’s with $150k+ MSRP selling or only being bid to $100k. 33% loss in less than a year is not great.

I like the Lucid Air a lot. However what they need is to make an SUV version... that’s where the bigger money is.

I’ve seen a suprising number of Lucids on the road where I live... and by that I mean “one or two every now and then.”

I saw a showroom-quality SRT-4 outside my school after open house a few weeks ago. I was so taken aback I had to wait for the parent to compliment him. Wasn’t even my student lol

When I was in college and these came out I wanted one SO badly.  Ended up with an SVT Focus instead, which is a longer story (and a great, if underpowered car).  Still want one today.  Dammit.

You had to be there. It was normal at the time, and they sold a ton of them.

They were kind of on a “light” naming kick. The cars in the Chrysler lineup that the Neon took the place of were named the Shadow and the Sundance.

You have qualified for the Jalop Dad Medal. 👍

My wife, our oldest daughter, and our son each drove my SRT-4 Neon for a while. I swore I was going to teach my kids to drive stick, and I succeeded with 2 out of 3 of them. I bought the SRT new, and it’s definitely been driven (and seen a fair amount of track time). A couple of weeks ago was the 20-year anniversary

Just saw an SRT4 at cars and coffee this weekend.

I would expect the RV couple will be getting a huge settlement.”

Looks like the lambo tried to move out to pass and clipped the ferrari, that’s my guess as to why the charges are starting there. Plus, a little difficult to charge the dead couple even though they are partially at fault as well.

Dammit, I want a Pylmouth Prowler now!!! I love those cars. Wish they came with a V8 but they are so cool.
