At retail, these points cards are often on sale. You will never get a sale buying it direct from MS. It'll always work out cheaper to get the points cards.
@ThaHellYouWant: They are. Same with Bioshock. Ken was like "no there will never be a PS3 version" and 1 year later, there was.
@Pretty Sneaky Sis: Useful again thankfully, without being insanely powerful.
@Paradox me: Agreed. If they keep it optional, i think thats a great. Catering to both sides.
I'm such a hypocrit. I said to myself i wouldn't buy another CoD game after MW2, but despite that i'm actually a little interested to see how black ops turns out, since its Treyarch making it. They get a lot of flak, but i enjoyed WaW way more than i did MW2. Both single player and multiplayer. I'll still try and hold…
@CarbonFalcon: To put it a better way, you will always find people to play against and the search times for games are pretty fast now.
While paying money for Avatars clothing and toys, seems like a total waste since i have no games which use Avatars, i have to say...
@spiderweb1986: Doesn't mean its accurate either. Speculation is guess work.
@Dragonis: The hate mostly comes from the original Fable. Peter made a lot of claims, some of which never came to be in the game. People were let down. It was also fairly short, which was only fixed after they released Fable the lost chapters, but original buyers obviously didn't have access to that content.
@ttocs: Well, its their money at the end of the day. Deep down they probably realise just how absurd it is to spend this kind of money on a few maps that equals to half the price of the game they originally bought. But its hard to put a price on enjoyment, i'm sure the diehards will eventually get $15 worth of…
It makes me real sad that Half-Life 2 beat the original Half-Life, since Hl2, although a great game still in my opinion doesn't beat out the original. Seems like a list thats literally "todays" top PC games, not the top games of all time PC. Loved Dragon Age, but quite frankly, that wouldn't have made the list, over…
@Ad-hominem: Valkyria Chronicles was an exclusive from Sega for PS3. Probably one of the best games this generation.
@netMASA: Its totally faked. Ignoring the fact that there are many many similar videos like this relating to WoW on youtube, the camera is pointing at him from the start. Now it would have been slightly more believable if it looked like they were filming something else, then just happened to catch him on film, but…
Can't say i'm surprised that its Vacant and Strike returning. At first i couldn't remember which map Strike was but then i was like "oh its that one!", after Overgrown, which is already back, its probably the next best map from CoD4.
@Strife Fox †: Agreed and the PS3 is a better console today for it. Competition is good!
@PhattyMikey: Oh boy, Excalibur was so annoying.
@AncientUnknown1: Their plan has always been to release them yearly, which honestly seems like they are dead on, with lots of DLC in between releases.
I don't have any faith in these opt-in things. I've been opted in for SC2 since the feature was available on battle.net with no luck so far.
You should make it more clear in the title, that Portal is free for everyone, not just Mac users.
