Thanks for sticking with cars.

For many people who could afford cars 80k and up... yes.

Porsche perfected the way to print money years ago. Their launch process is a well defined process and yes, these are the top of the range for the moment. It doesnt take much to figure out that the lower models will come in less than 12 months followed by a higher performance model in 18 or so.

you are wrong!

Those white wheels are perfection.

At least one person with sense.

There will be a Taycan and Taycan S, but they will have considerably less power and a lower price.

Porsche numbers are real world road numbers, not drag strip numbers.

As if cars were only about straight line performance. The Taycan will be so much faster around a track and also have a much higher resale value.

It can be charged quicker.

The base hasn’t even been announced yet. They’re just launching with the top trim levels, probably to get a quick buck from early adopters.

Transmissions are planned obsolescence now? I have bad news for you about every other car. And that news is 3-5x as bad.

First off - this thing looks great and is pretty much what I expected from Porsche as their first EV.

It probably is fantastic to drive and that interior looks beautiful to me. I bet the fit and finish is lightyears ahead of Tesla as well. But I agree with you.. worse performance for $70k more? Yeah I’ll take a Model S.

I love the looks of this convertible. Technically, the roof doesn’t retract. It also doesn’t fold. It’s not a targa, either.

This is the top trim level. Sort of how the 911 base is $97k but the Turbo S is $190k.

The POWER PEDAL.

Call it whatever makes sense, but know this: the average EV driver probably still calls it the “gas pedal” (I hope not, that’s just my perception).

oh for the love of...
