Post Apocalyptic
Inglorious Basterds works because it doesn’t pull punches or pretend it’s something it’s not, and it’s extremely self-aware. This game is the polar opposite, without any of the self-awareness. It’s crass and dumb, and it gets a lot wrong, even besides its clumsy handling of racism (and weirdly absent antisemitism).…
Sounds like punitive damages would have been on the menu if they had continued down the course they were on before. A cost/benefit study probably concluded they would have been hit with massive punitive damages for knowingly misleading regulators.
1000% disagree.
Let people hate things.
1st Gear: I’ll once again express sarcastic shock and dismay that the company owned by a South African man who started his fortune with Apartheid era emerald mine money would have racist practices. Who ever could have predicted this?
Is the cheap stuff you’re talking about 85 or 87 octane? In the US, I don’t think I’ve seen 85 offered anywhere except Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah (and 85.5 in Montana). Your fancy Toyota might recommend 91, but even though it’s a bit older than the average car on the road, it has the ability to retard ignition timing…

Ford LTD from Men In Black.
I wonder if that’s the primary reason why they are so committed to the in-wheel motors; they don’t want to extensively modify the underlying platform. It certainly can’t be for the ride comfort.
Subaru’s Bi-drive Recreational All-terrain Transporter or BRAT. The original AWD car based pick em-up truck.
1986 was the first year of the AWD system on the Tempo/Topaz. It was available on both 2 and 4-door models of various trim levels.
Indian weddings are awesome - the pageantry is incredible. In college, I got hired to be part of a marching band in a Baraat procession. Best of luck on the wrenching! Worst case scenario, you could hire a marching band to pull the Mustang.
To be fair, “Autopilot” can only be engaged during the safest miles of a trip. Technically, we should expect accidents during non-autopilot miles driven to get worse as the easy miles are taken over by Tesla’s system.
90's Supras. Legitimately good car, but the hype around them, which seems to get worse every year, has people paying absolutely insane money for them. There’s one right now going for almost $175,000. And it’ll probably fetch that. Paying new NSX or 911 Turbo money for a 30 year old Toyota is the definition of…
This one started late in 1999, but The Big O is worth a watch. Great soundtrack, great art direction, and it’s one of the few anime I prefer to watch in english. The music, themes, and characters just work better in english. It’s part Batman, part kaiju anime, part 007. Main character is voiced by Steve Blum (Spike…
Except...The Cygnet is incredibly rare and still sells second hand for pretty much the new car price (at least in the UK) It was explained to me by an Aston rep at Goodwood that although it was an emissions/fuel economy excuse for Aston, it was a perfect vehicle for Aston owners who couldn’t fit their DBS or One-77 on…
I was once forced to take shelter from a tornado .under an overpass on the KS turnpike. Back then (before cellphone warnings), it was possible to get caught by surprise like that. I was driving a semi, lightly loaded, and the tornado was heading towards me from the side. Most of the 4-wheelers on the highway that day…
If you see how reconditioned hybrid batteries are put together, yes. They take out each cell, test it’s voltage, then “bin” it. Then they take all the “Good” cells, generally from 2-3 packs, and make a new pack out of it, and recycle the cells with too low of a voltage.
