Having driven lots of 4wd and awd i can say wwd is made of wrong. My first car was wwd on dry pavement needing a switch to activate awd. It still handled than the wwd only version. Awd had taller yet stiffer springs that killed most of the understeer. The stiffer rear end was better too.
