Exactly. I think it has much more to do with critical thinking education which is much more prominent in college than high school. And I think it perfectly represents why, in some places, the GOP is doing everything they can to hinder critical (or really just “challenging”) thought in schools.

As an attorney, the method for bench bullies I was always taught was to say, “You’re Honor, if you’re going to hold me in contempt, I demand that the charges against me be particularized on the record as proscribed in the Judicial Canon, that a hearing be set on notice of no fewer than thirty days as due process

I read once that when he was asked about his time in the white house, he said that he tries not to think about it too much. He just wants to move on from it all. I get the impression that not thinking about things too much is something he’s really good at.

It actually seems pretty easy to do, if you have “that” in you. Whatever “that” is. Narcissism, con man, messiah complex, gift of speech, etc.

Richard Wayne Gary Wayne wasn’t made up, was he? Holy crap.

51 of anything is bad. I don't care how healthy she thinks it is.

As a professional procrastinator, the GOP’s reaction to Trump (which is essentially your comment) is very familiar. “We’ve got options. It’s complicated. We’ll figure it out next primary. Oh shit, there’s no primaries left? I’m sure we’ve got a backup plan around here somewhere.”

However you feel about it, it’s sort of refreshing to see Republicans trying to disenfranchise their own supporters for a change.

But, but...but: baseball. Actually, watching George Will yammer about baseball in the Ken Burns film made me like baseball less. You just know George has a shrine to Kenesaw Mountain Landis in an alcove just off his sex dungeon.

republicans in 2002: EXPORT DEMOCRACY EVERYWHERE

Is it true that columnists pull in $300,000? You’re telling me that David Brooks and Thomas Friedman get paid $300,000 to spout their drivel? I mean, I get that they make bank from books and speaking (hell, I really liked The World Is Flat back in college).

Yeah. So, the professor is arguing that Labrie should be burned at the stake by the English?

Well, it didn’t end very well of Joan of Arc.

Well that’s a fresh take on “he had such a promising future”

I personally liked the excavator claw being the last thing that went under.
