i wish id focused more on my classes, i mean i took them fairly serious, but was mostly concerned with my grades instead of really engaging with the material. also spent an inordinate amount of time on sports friends and partying. oh and i think i wish i spent less time playing video games, but havent decided for sure.
well, keep in mind the more people can put in their retirement accounts, the less the govt collects in taxes. so there are mixed incentives here. especially for non-roth options which mean less revenue for the IRS the year of the contribution.

if youve got enough that you only need to withdraw 4% per year, its crazy to have 40-60% of your assets in bonds/cds. thats 10-15 years worth of living expenses.

eh, there is an awkward situation when two people are approaching a door from opposite sides. if they get there first sure they should open it and wait for you to come through, but if you’re arriving at the same time or they’re arriving after, yeah better for them to wait.

when i hear about left-handed people using left-handed mice, all i can think is they must be much older than me. born in the mid80s, ive been using right-handed mice my entire life, using a left-handed mouse would be unnatural to me the same way writing with my right hand is unnatural.

the intro to this post sets it up as a rent vs buy conversation, and goes as far as to say that the source paper “argues that, actually, renting is a good investment in its own right.” I don’t see any evidence that’s the argument they’re making at all.
