is this sarcasm?

There’s a lot to unpack here, but honestly I think the most ridiculous is that the author titled “My family are the rule-breaking, lockdown-flouting entitled Americans you’ve heard about during the coronavirus pandemic”, when they’re so obviously not.

sure, if you’re literally not taking anything with you except a personal item that goes under the seat.

things it has never even occurred to me to do: “take my shoes off on a plane”

so is your point that it’s only been like 15 years (depending on age of your youngest) instead of 20 since you flew with your kid aged 2? if so, i’m not sure it really addresses my point.

i’m pretty sure “someone being home” is a deterrent. and setting off your alarm tells them that you’re home far in advance of them walking into the room and seeing you, which is obviously preferable.

right, so if they go in and find out they were mistaken and someone IS home....

if you say so. this tells the intruder 3 things:

yep.  my wife never wakes me up for the cool turbulence and when i find out i get so sad i missed it.

point isnt that the car alarm will go off and your neighbors come running to help you fight off the bad guy, the idea/hope is that the bad guy will hear the car alarm and run off.

yep, and conveniently decades removed from the period where flying with the children would have actually been difficult. if his children are “beyond teenagers” then its been two decades or more since they flew with their two year old, i don’t suppose the stresses of those experiences have faded over time...

discipline might matter for a 6 year old, but flying with a 2 year old is rough and it has nothing to do with discipline. sitting still for 30 minutes is hard for them at that age, let alone 3 hours.

in what world is this anything like what the article proposed?

some people do cardio 5-7 days a week, and still want to lift a few days a week, which would require doubling up sometimes. it’s also not hard to imagine people having a few days that are lighter schedule-wise than the rest of their week, so they try to fit both their cardio and lifting on the same day.

i know you’re joking, but that would only keep you warmer for like 0.5 minutes before making you many times colder.

lets see how tomlin does once ben’s gone and he has to try and compete with a mediocre qb at the helm.

ohhh, you’re one of those “its impossible for a mediocre or bad coach to have a good record” fans.

If he was paid what his actual value is our income would double.” - why doesn’t he switch jobs?

it seems like your most defensible argument here is that digital tickets prevent you from being able to keep trash as a souvenir.  which, ok, i guess if youre into that.  but you have to acknowledge that youre in the minority, most people just throw their tickets out afterwards.

i think this ranking is generational. ask my parents and the lamp would be ranked much higher.
