Zack Snyder always gives me the impression that he’s an alien that’s like 95% good at approximating human emotion.

I remember watching it as a christian (attending bible college at the time), fully believing I’d be like so so on it. I wasn’t one for crying normally. I cried the entire way through, the whole time saying to myself “Lord, what have I done to you?”

It changed my life for a time. I’m quite grateful, between that and

I worked at a one-screen theater when we showed it. Every now and then there were evangelicals loudly sharing about how moved they were, but for the most part, people were just really quiet as they left, like they were shell-shocked. The theater owner arranged to have a priest in the lobby during opening weekend to

Flubbed the landing there. Should have concluded with “the only person who got nailed that night was on-screen.”

It just seems to confirm more and more that Stephen Merchant was the brilliant one of the two. Post extras its really obvious to see. Fighting with my family vs whatever this is

Y’all eat boiled sheep offal stuffed in sheep stomach — exactly what firm ground are you standing on to throw down with burritos?

It will be mourned, but not by me.

>former sit-comic actress Olivia Colman

That’s hardly a fair comparison. Olivia Colman has proven herself to be an exceptional dramatic actor, whereas Mitchell & Webb don’t seem interested in moving out of comedy. They’ve still been very successful though. David Mitchell in particular appears regularly on pretty much all the major comedy panel shows on TV

Colman is not a sitcom actress. She’s done comic roles but she’s also done hefty dramatic ones - The Night Manager, Tyrannosaur, Broadchurch. She’s a brilliant actor.

Because one person winning a competition is “thwarting and fucking over” another entrant in the same competition?

Honest question - are you secretly Glenn Close’s agent or PR person? Cause you are taking this surprisingly personally and, for insisting you bear no ill will to Colman, you seem to be going out of your way to take swings at her.

You do realize Best Actress isn’t given for a body of work right?

She thwarted and fucked Glenn Close by giving a performance that was, in every single way, superior to Glenn Close’s performance.

Colman’s career in TV is irrelevant, and your repeated dismissals of her as a sitcom actress is gross. Besides, her past work in TV, radio and film is terrific.

Watch Olivia Colman in Tyrannosaur. Then shut the fuck up.
