Praying for a Fargo return
Praying for a Fargo return
It was very flawed and overall an ambitious failure I think. That does sound interesting! It’s a shame it was so rushed as it could have been something special.
Yeah season 1 is an all-time fave of mine as well. Very excited for 3.
Isn’t it pretty well known that True Detective season 2 suffered from having to be made from scratch in like 9 months? I liked it for what it was though.
Pretty sure I own the first one. It’s just that whenever I think about watching it I’m like, can I be bothered to sit through over 3 hours of this?
The comfort factor is definitely part of it. Certain films and shows just make you feel good when you need it
Probably to stop worrying about a never-ending watchlist and just stick on whatever I feel like watching at any time. Sure I haven’t seen The Godfather or whatever, but if I want to watch Robocop for the 20th time, I should just go ahead and do it.
Can’t wait for A Dog’s Way Home 2: Lost in San Fransisco.
I think I would have more sympathy for his situation if you saw him trying to resist more and trying to carve out a love life for himself. He might not be actively trying to steal her, but what he’s doing is a big betrayal of trust, friendship-ending stuff. That’s definitely part of the drama, but the film never…
You know I had forgotten about Nighy when I posted. Yes he’s excellent in everything.
I’d always interpreted it as he hadn’t slept with her yet but was fully gearing up to. Haven’t seen it in a while though
Whenever I rewatch Love Actually, I always wish that the whole film was about Alan Rickman and Emma Thompson’s characters. Not just because they’re the best actors in the cast by far, but because the story is genuinely heart-breaking.
Annihilation. Still thinking about it months after seeing it.
Yeah it was a bit hammy but basically the only memorable part of the show for that reason
That’s fair. It’s not a very good show. I’m just a fan of hers in general
Parker Posey is probably the only reason to watch the thuddingly dull Lost In Space. Not enough for me to watch season 2 but yeah, she’s great.
I reckon it will be Deadpool because of how much of a surprise hit it was despite being R-rated
I saw it in the cinema and actually thought to myself “what the fuck” when I read here that Waltz was in it. Maybe the movie is a government-funded memory erasing device
Fassbender would really shine in a Logan-style Magneto movie where he gets to stand alone and face some (relatively) low stakes
Yep the fact that there’s 20 movies and the majority of them are good to great is super impressive
