I'd wager that is not the actual GRC car. Two reasons:
That is why the codriver uses the reset button frequently at predetermined points on the stage, which also gives them useful sector times. The codriver can provide a lot of real time information to the driver on their progress to their "ideal" stage time and know if the driver is "killing it" or is lagging. Lots…
I did go to the interview for my current job in a fully caged, rally prepped Impreza rally car. Nobody watches the parking lot, and I had to change into my suit in the hotel lobby anyway. I got the job.
Left foot braking is more important than rev matching. I'm not sure if Jari-Matti is left foot braking in this video, but it is the common style of modern rally driving.
No, I'm sorry that is not accurate. They will coordinate the notes to their rally computer / odometer. If they get ahead or behind, the driver will let them know. Looking up with almost always ensure they get lost in the notes or at the very least off pace.
Best of luck to you. Seems like only yesterday you got here. Glad I could see the entirety of the "Wert Years". We are better off for it, and I hope that the future does not spiral entirely into hipster coverage of everything BUT what Jalopnik was created for. I can do without the excessive video game coverage at…
Don't let that get in the way of a good Jalopnik "story"
No, they just run questions of the day and let commentors write their content for them.
I don't fault anyone fore making money, but I fault hypocrites that call oil companies to task but pledge allegiance to Apple.
Have you seen their profit margins? price gouging anyone? Oil companies get all the bad press in that arena, but Apple has it in spades.
Raphael doesn't know how to find rally events in his area and Jason has never purposely drifted a car (See Scion FR-S review). Where are these Jalopnik writers coming from?
Three rounds in and we finally get the "intro" to the F1 season that we deserve (the Vettel-centric post from nearly a month ago hardly qualifies).
Then I'm going to demote Jalop in favor of "the other site". Hopefully things will shift back, same thing happened with Gizmodo a number of years ago, I haven't gone back there either. Oh well, it was a mostly nice 8 or 9 years here I suppose....
This is what Jalopnik has become now, huh? No mention of any current racing series, no coverage of any LeMons, no more found on the street. Just milking stupid internet memes for clicks and Question and Answer posts of the day?
I drove by this after the flames had been put out but before it was on the flat bed. Saw the pictures being taken. It's a shame that reliability and in flammability is not high enough on the exotics priorities as styling and engine note.
and the lowering of Jalopnik credibility continues.....
you don't need a custom drive shaft...
I do too. My first car was a '68 Cutlass. What a great car. I need to find one and buy it just to cruise.
Japan didn't dominate the market, yet. It was these models that helped drive everyone TO Japanese brands. The '80s were still Detroit, the '90s was Japan
