You have one opinion, it’s not necessarily correct for everyone. My error would always 100% be on the tip line and so it would be for most people.  The total line is what you intend to pay and what you have mentally paid.  This is not a stretch.

The TOTAL LINE is the amount.  I’m sh*t at math.  Sometimes I don’t even write in a tip, I just write what I want the total to be.  I’ve never not been charged what I wrote on the total line.

I just do soda water at home but at the party my friend did it with an unsweetened ice tea and it tasted fine, but really it tastes good by itself. It’s probably be good in a not too sweet lemonade as well.
