Yeeeeep. I am the opposite of a morning person but when I was leader on my hike team and required to be on the trailhead for sunrise it was awesome. As soon as I wasn’t mandated to do it though, that was a nope.

I love dancing and it seems like a fun way to start the day. The most important question is: how was the DJ?
Billy Porter!! So good. Man, he had to play A LOT of emotions this ep. The reads!! The reads! That Patty & Angel scene was riveting. I’ve gotta say I am intrigued by the Stan plotline, possibly because I’m buying whatever EP is selling, but I did like his reaction at the psychiatrist that he acknowledged he…
The entire script and acting of “Perverts are People Too.” Lowell’s facial expressions and reactions in the gay club, then they have the only scene of the season at his home (aka WASP repression/expectations central), his body language and the dialogue with his Mom’s butler, then they have revealing his “hidden”…
He is gay. Didn’t realize it, is now starting to realize it and scared sh*tless and also his best friend is dead on top of it. Due to upbringing and cultural stigma at the time who knows if he’ll ever admit it to himself.
I’m truly bewildered as it’s pretty obvious. I saw another article where they said it’s a “a fan theory” that Bash is gay. Like, no. He is gay. The question is whether he’ll ever acknowledge it to himself.
I think he’s gay but is so repressed and due to his upbringing it never occurred to him. His BFF was maybe in love with him, we’ll probably never know but it’s a a good guess. The CLEANER says it’s not the first time they’ve done it, not Bash. Florian has been his butler since he lived on his own, they are childhood…
Same.
I don’t think it’s possible to have a social media platform in 2018 that isn’t problematic. Tumblr has a lot of issues but for someone like me who doesn’t get involved in “discourse” and just enjoys looking at pretty pictures and gif sets from tv shows it’s great.
The scene at the dance with Rosalie, Sam and Justine is so great because you can see that Sam really does like Justine as a person and doesn’t want her to sell herself short. That whole scene and them Sam telling Rosalie she did a good job is great.
Yep, and even the title of the ep alludes to this.
Well said. Definitely the environment Bash was raised in, being gay would probably not even cross his mind as you say. So I really feel like the club was an awakening he was not emotionally prepared for. Then to add in Florian dying of AIDS and that’s just a lot for Bash to handle and he just can’t do it. I will…
I love the little cheek kiss!
Yep, no doubt Debbie has had to “play the game” many times which is why on one hand you get her POV and on the other it’s like why are being such a b*tch?
I think it’s intentional, she doesn’t really have many sympathetic moments. Gilpin is amazing though.
Yes, I too was curious what Florian’s POV with Bash was. Was/is he involve with him? Just BFFs but done with Bash being clueless?? We see in this ep that Bash is clearly deeply, deeply repressed but is likely bi or gay and hasn’t even considered it. At least that’s the way I took it. The scene with his Mom’s…
Yes, it made me queasy that they had a whole signal and that Glen knew that his “role” was - so disgusting.
This was such a great episode. Liberty Belle’s script and Bash’s commentary during the fight killed me. Loved the moment in the hallway before the match with Tamme and Debbie and how the show showed them both getting into character before they waked out into the ring.
The whole dance audition number was really fun and directed in an interesting way. Yoyo is a great dancer.
Betty and Alison in the fight blow-out scene are both just tremendous. What a scene.
