Todd McCarthy had Burning on his top 5 things to see list and I’m also intrigued how those will end up, yesterday my social media was all abuzz re: Burning but I’m not going to read much (including this, sorry) as I’ve found almost all Cannes-loved films are better the less I know going in.

They really, really REALLY need to sit down and plan season 3 much better and pull this together. They have so many great elements. Get it done, writers.

Well I think it was clear from the last episode that she’s not DEAD dead because some of her memories are in Lenny|Amy, thus my question to begin with.

I’m still confused about last week and Lenny|Amy. All the weird flourishes aside what I think happened is: Lenny’s dead & mangled body is buried, OliverSK digs her up, OliverSK goes to Amy’s house and ?? merges them together? The two minds are together in a single body? Is Amy really “dead”? I guess her body is gone…

Right, but he knew that. He deliberately did the one thing that would antagonize David the most and when David was in fact already helping him! The question is why because on its face it seems very unwise.

As ridiculous as this show is it’s still frustrating that screentime-wise they did the exact thing with Josie and Kevin this season they did with the last. How are they regulars, they basically get no screentime? The Riverdale writers room needs to lean into the fact that they have supporting characters we care about,…

Yep. I lost my Dad too and I have zero interest in watching this ep and in fact won’t be. I’ll read about it and see if there’s any scenes to skip to on Hulu but otherwise...nah.

This was def a case where fan commentary on twitter, etc. built it up into this “thing.” The creator said last year he didn’t expect it to turn into such a big Thing (tm) but sadly the show really leaned into it this season which I would have preferred they not do.
