I don't know, he has/had a pretty massive Broadway following. I know the only reason I ever watched graceland for a minute was because I loved him in next to normal.

Kether Donohue is a treasure and you should watch You're the Worst.

I loved that they had an audience and did bows. Two simple things the next NBC musical Hairspray can do, but I'm pretty sure they'll try and do the whole thing the way this one was staged (I could be wrong!)

I was the same. I loved it for the spectacle, camerawork, logistics, etc. but I don't mind the 'theatre' aspect/perspective remaining the same, but since the ratings were so high I'm pretty sure we won't be "going back" to traditional staging again.

I know Fox said it will be on FoxNow later today fwiw.

I loved the show but am not sold on what seems to be the online consensus (especially with the high ratings) that now all tv musicals must do it this way. I personally think there is a place for the way The Wiz was done, in that it is actually like a theater show. This was a television spectacle. There's nothing wrong

I was the same. I was impressed and entertained but the production was literally so big it wasn't representative of theater, really, but of the movie.

That would possibly be a deal breaker for me if they killed her off.

Good ep, I loved all the parent/kid through lines and especially loved Alba being harsh with Jane, like get your sh*t together. The Moreno/camil scene on the pitch was really nice. The chyrons during the sleep segments cracked me up. Man, Raf is so boring but he sure does have some shitty parents and step-parents,

Yael has been making Petra sympathetic since day one for me and it's pretty damn impressive given how awful the character is on paper.

It was a fun episode but annoying because you knew from the beginning that despite all the hard work Dick Casablancas wasn't going to do what he was supposed to. Paget looked hot as all get out.

Yep, Rock basically says like for example rich NBA players are still getting paid a lot, but the owners are wealthy old white guys.

Populism yeah yeah!

This is a classic post ISTG, made me smile.

Oh totally. I meant of all the things I can "like" about Room, I will admit the direction was good. The Scott thing is perplexing for sure.

In an extremely rare reaction, I am not seethingly mad about anything. It would've been nice to see Del Toro or Dano in Supporting, but Hardy's inclusion is well deserved.

Everything is much more up in the air than usual, I don't think it's the frontrunner it was by any means.

Del Toro was very much on the bubble, I'm sure he was #6 or 7 on the list. I would've liked to have seen him for sure.

I am the biggest Morricone fan there is but the Sicario score was #1 to me of the nominees, but of course Ennio's is great and if he wins I will be very happy.

All I want to say about Room is ditto, I just don't get the adoration for the movie, but I can support the Directing nomination somewhat. I really don't get the Larson love & presumed win at this point.
