Thanks.
Thanks.
Per Sam Shaw: "We wrote and shot the finale months before we premiered and saw any numbers. On that front, our ratings aren’t quite subatomic, but they’re obviously not everything we'd hope for. I could speculate about why, but the truth is, that's not my wheelhouse. We’ve worked hard to tell a great story, and the…
Daniel London was terrific as Oppenheimer. If we get a S3 I'd assume he'd have an even bigger role considering what happened with him.
Agreed. I'd rather we went out with a bang.
You're the Worst's was good as well. Another one that could've ended the series if need be.
The ratings are not good. At all. And period production design, etc. is not cheap. If WGN renews it it'll be solely for a prestige factor, but I think the small amount of Emmy noms (though it did win one, yay!) really hurt its chances.
That was a helluva finale. So many great relationship scenes, the Liza & Frank phone call was so moving. Good lord that last scene with Chernus & Denham KILLED me, very powerful. I was literally sitting on my couch saying "nononono" to myself. The last 5 minutes was so well done. This was a really great episode.
Why was Josh not in the workplace scenes? Losing Charlie & Josh really lessens the conference room scenes, which are usually hilarious to me.
Oh there is Popeyes in L.A. no doubt. Picked up on many a journey to the Hollywood Bowl!
Not sure if this counts but I was in show choir and you bet your butt we caroled. We had official gigs, but then we had like 4 nights we went out into neighborhoods.
McDermott played that so well. Axl was genuinely bummed, his line about "but look she has on pearls" re: the cat made me sad. And then everyone's looks of horror when he offered a hug and it was rejected. Just great stuff all around.
The kids reactions made that so moving. I can't even think off hand of another incident where a) all the kids were automatically on the same page b) re a: they were in support of one of their parents. It was a REALLY nice reaction by the kids, I was proud of them.
I agree, but it was certainly great for shock value and to see Zuckerman get to go nuclear ;)
I don't think Frank gives a flying fig at this point. He knows he's on borrowed time is just trying to make as big an impact as he can. At least, that's my impression.
Darrow knew Sid is not the name they were looking for. He beat Green to death but I don't think he got anything out of him, thus his frustration and ultimately killing him. If I'm wrong I guess we'll find out next week.
Heck of an episode, Charlie going full dark side really surprised me. You are totally right about Daniel London, I have taken him for granted but he is really great as Oppie.
"(even if I'm not sure it makes sense for the character)" I, too, thought it didn't really align with the character.
he knew from day one she was murdered, he also knew there was nothing he could do about it.
Have a nice day, we're clearly not going to see eye to eye and I hope every day for the next five years someone asks you about 'Hamilton' and that one day you as a history teacher embrace it instead of having a stick up your a*s.
Nah, it wouldn't be under score because that's Williams and it's like %.0000001 likely to get a Best Song nom (I don't think it's eligible anyway). I think we're headed for a Wiz Khalifa / Lady Gaga / Brian Wilson showdown there. Which is fun.
