No, this doesn’t destroy immersion. It just gives you a specific character to roleplay, whose identity you can then imagine and act out as you would in any other game of this type.

It very well may turn out easier to just put two cameras on Oculus than it is to increase the FOV of Hololens. The compositing would undoubtedly be better with a digital not optical composite. The problem with hololens is that it’s additive compositing meaning that everything behind the screen shines through.
