Consider a game like Half Life. Changing the frames per second (FPS) causes the game to run scripts faster as well, which can change how quickly the player accelerates speed or how quickly they can move up slopes. Conversely, lower frames per second can cause tossed items to have less friction and slide further along

Absolutely love reading about this game. Still really sad about the official English localisations; I feel that it’s best played in Japanese.

Added RPCS3's Github to my list of source codes to read-through. It uses a few external projects for some pretty big tasks (for the SPEs LLVM as an AOT recompiler, an embedded x86 JIT library [never seen one of those myself, but I don’t tend to look out for them]).

I remember years back on TF2 I spoke up about some abuse voice chat towards a woman on one of the teams in public chat, I had known TF2 up until that point to be a really respectable, excellent community.

Not to be that guy, but can’t I just steam_id spoof the game and write a little program that gives me all the achievements? Does that count?

I prefer Tactics Advance over Tactics because of its lower barrier of entry and the judge/law system added a prefer lofty tool-set to the player’s arsenal, and as it expands during the game you get more ways to checkmate the opponent with it, which to me made it progress nicer and become more complex and skillful over

Glad his opinion hasn’t changed.

There’s no reason why you can’t sit down in VR. Could even make it so you’re sitting on a sofa watching anime on TV with your favourite anime character sitting next to you.

Oh wow! This is exactly the kind of VR experience I’ve been wanting to see demo’d, there’s a LOT of subtle stuff packed in here from a graphics technology level that hasn’t been explored in VR and it’s an area that my studio has been developing technology for over the past year; anime style graphics rendering in VR is

They really do pick and choose; can’t show every mod, so it’s best to show a random one every now and then. I think it’s understandable, better to show something from this community than nothing at all.

Probably best to look at it as a bit of fun, rather than an attempt to modify the political standings of the C&C universe.

Wow people actually wanted this remaster? The original games were good for the time, but I don’t see the majority of people who buy this playing beyond level 2 of each entry in the trilogy.

A massive thing that ruined Mario Kart Wii was the weighted items punishing whoever was in lead (literally punished skill, rewarded lack of skill). The best way to win with that game is to stay in 4th position until the last lap, and then take first place and pray that nothing hits you once you do.

The water-ripples specifically are an optimisation; Source engine, particularly the version TF2 is on, is terrible at those kind of shader-effects in water.

With all the respect in the world, this is just one take on why Hanzo is a power fantasy (and I absolutely believe it’s the majority opinion) - to me, he isn’t a power fantasy - and to some; he’s a sex object who’s trying to be sexy with no shirt, big muscles, stern expression and confident posture.

I think it is worth discussing, but I’m not sure the context of feminism is the ideal platform, as feminism isn’t out there to destroy sexuality or sexual expression and it’s an incredibly subjective area to discuss as there’s no written guidelines of what’s okay and what’s not okay, and that’s a good thing as it lets

They probably mean the final version that the community are going to tamper with. The patches and fixes applied to these ROMs are by the community, so there’d be multiple iterations and revisions going into these patches.

I have a different opinion, I actually prefer the second game - and I know that I’m the minority on this one.

Call it the “SNSP-001A” model.

Show me the PAL version. Don’t care for the ugly North American version.
