This “mod” is using a graphics hook framework that the guy has built previously for other games (for doing similar stuff as mentioned in this article), so he’s built it over a few years in his free time.

...Why?
All of these are issues for the game to solve, rather than the operating-system to solve, so I specifically avoided mentioning anything related to the actual single-frame rendering.
That may very well be true, but you don’t know that and I don’t know that.
Yes, the used-game industry is the #1 most damaging thing for console game developers at the moment, far worse than piracy due to the fact that it happens on the high-street and it’s customers with intention to pay for their games who are buying used copies. Pirates *probably* never had any intention to pay for the…
Fantastic, but emulators are legal and there’s zero legal requirement for you to own a Nintendo console to buy a Nintendo game (and thus own a license to the game’s content).
EDIT: I re-read what you wrote. You’re right and I agree with you, VMs are the answer to emulation - it is a generalisation to say emulators == VMs.
Emulators are a tool, they don’t enable piracy, pirates use them to run their pirated games. Websites that distribute pirated games are enabling piracy, these websites tend to get shutdown.
Not quite, the performance of a product - which is affected by piracy and the used-game market - absolutely has an impact on what the developers take home.
Just remember that emulator does not equal piracy, it’s just a virtual machine program.
It’s pretty sad that YouTube still hasn’t learned how to apologise.
Yeah that would have been quite the obvious choice to go with

The music of that game made me tearful a fair bit when I was very young and first tried playing it. “Into the Thick of it” with the wind instrument just seems so incredibly soft and with the graphical style of the game it really took me aback as a child.
It really concerned me that the attitude of Nintendo fans in the run up to the Switch’s launch has been “Please give us port of game X”.
The moe is really getting to me
I guess that’s part of the mystery.
