Is that fucking MatPat? God damn it, who keeps on making him the ambassador for video games?

This may be unwarranted, but I will address some of the points you raised, please do not take this as a riff on ignorance, I’ll try to be informative;

Please don’t misunderstand, I wasn’t meaning to rub it in your face in particular, the entire gaming community is almost entirely ignorant about game development and it’s an industry problem that’s still being investigated on how to solve.

It’s absolutely hilarious to see gamers attempt to talk about game optimisation/rendering technicals.

Likely; Someone had a weird glitch in “Magi-Nation” and then after investigation people found a section of memory that was being read before being initialised (wiped to zero at the start of the game).

Except the game isn’t being modified, it’s a map feature, so no it’s still not a mod.

Even something as seemingly insignificant as the weather, as this mod demonstrates

From my perspective, it seems like you have an overly invested attitude with this. At the risk of being flamey; sounds like you’re part of what’s wrong with online gaming and I believe you’re in the minority when it comes to Overwatch’s community: most Overwatch players understand that quick-play is to have fun and

I’ll listen, I’ll take feedback, I’ll implement feedback, but if you’re telling me “omg y pick symmetra defence she shit” before the game’s even started - and it’s quick play so it doesn’t matter in the slightest - then you deserve as much patience and politeness as you’re giving out.

PC: Competitive can get hostile, but you can just mute the hostility.

I see what you’re saying. I will agree, coming from a PC perspective some of the moves this guy did on console took advantage of his opponent’s inability to track his movements, so they don’t look that impressive at all as if the enemy had an input device that gave them 1:1 tracking then that problem wouldn’t be there

Tactics? Why would the tactics be any different? I think they were more likely trying to belittle his skills by saying mouse aimers would be able to counter his game-pad play (which is a stupid thing to say, anyone with such a significant input advantage would perform better).

In which case, this isn’t impressive at all and doesn’t prove anything new.

Matrix was famously inspired by the 1995 Ghost in the Shell movie.

I think it’s mostly an indication of how much this film will potentially be a departure from what people see Ghost in the Shell is for themselves.

As cynical as this is; they could just like what they’re doing because it means money to them and a wider appeal for their media, we’ve seen this happen with other film adaptions - The Golden Compass comes to mind (terrible adaption, praised massively by the original author because “it’s finally coming to the big

This is a custom made, from the ground up mini console - nothing was cracked open to produce this person’s excellent solution.

I’m very confident that the USB cable only provides power and has no direct connection to the internal flash storage, which means zero chance of any kind of firmware update possibility (from pausing this video you can see the USB power goes directly into the flip side of the power management IC, rather than to the

Along with some of the other answers given, I’m also going to say that this item is also collectable, being an official Nintendo product, and it’s quite charming to look at.

If you want an honest answer, it’s likely the filter-bubble effect; which we all here are also under the influence of.
