There is actually a pretty cool face rendering method I’ve been looking at recently which is to render the face above the skin, regardless of angle, which removes the “need” to push the back of the face forward to show the other eye.

This is what CS:GO does as well. I explain this entire thing on practically every comment on a CS:GO article that complains about shots magically doing zero damage despite blood spitting out of the enemy or getting shot around corners or shooting first, but dying first.
Net-code is a lot easier than AI for me. Then again, I’ve worked a lot more on networking than AI.
Do you need to develop your own engine if you want to develop a real-time online muliplayer game with solid online playability?
It will work on similarly priced PCs. I have a PC that’s a tad cheaper than a Power Mac that’s been built for developing VR software and it copes absolutely fine.

I think people have failed to actually answer this one for you.
It’s demanding on the processor, memory and in single-player cases the disk. In terms of graphics card, it’s not actually that bad.
