If gawker were at a party, it would keep saying provocative things and saying, “right, everyone?” And everyone else would quietly nod and think, “Not even a little.” And gawker would go home that night and think, “everyone seemed to really love my opinions!”

I guess it’s just convenient that the first two days of this “bitter public feud” just so happened to be the first two days of May Sweeps.

Is this a real trend???

I don’t think this is any big deal. He has been divorced and just exited a co-habitation/engagement with a woman who has two children with him. It’s not some big secret. I guess she could have phrased it differently and said, “You’ve dealt with joint custody” or something like that. Still. On a bitch scale, this is

Pish tosh. I think it’s funny, and he played it for laughs. Unless one of his ex-wives is unaware of a divorce, it’s hardly national news. A hairy armadillo projecting something into her mouth? Now, that’s news.

You know, if we keep snarking and tearing down and pushing away people who are allies, WE ARE GOING TO RUN OUT OF THEM.

I’m in grad school, which means I get to watch Live! most mornings before I shuffle off to campus for noon seminars. That face is Michael’s half of their normal shtick. Kelly says something outlandish, and Michael does a purse-lip, wide-eyed take. Audience laughs. Repeat.

But she wanted to know people’s opinions on something related to divorce. If her cohost has been divorced twice and she doesn’t ask for his obviously-relevant opinion, isn’t that just stigmatizing it? I mean, the only reason to avoid asking is if it's totally shameful...

Seriously. He has two divorces and a broken engagement and he’s spoken about these things before. She was asking about his experience as a divorced dad...I don’t get the big deal, unless there’s some rule that he is the only one allowed to broach the topic?

Is this really a thing though. I mean it is public knowledge that he is divorced with kids, she is not. Maybe she didn’t think it was such a big deal to ask a divorced man with kids how something like this works. I’m divorced, it wouldn’t bother me if someone asked my opinion on this matter who has never dealt with

whats wrong with this?? he has been divorced which would give him insight....

There’s nothing wrong with getting divorced, it happens. It’s not like Kelly had quick access to Elizabeth Taylor or Larry King’s reanimated corpse to answer questions. She had a twice divorced guy right there.

Why are people acting like this is the first time that Michael and Kelly have talked about his divorce/cancelled engagements?

Why would this be uncomfortable?

It doesn’t matter that some of us think she’s overreacting; it matters that she thought she was being treated unfairly. Why should we be against her at all? If she was unprofessional in taking a few days off work, she did it because she thought she was being treated unprofessionally, so why castigate one but not the

I keep reading her salary here. If she thinks she was treated unfairly, with no respect, her salary does not matter. Are we saying it’s okay to make people feel like they’ve been treated unjustly the higher income they make? Should the women celebrity actresses who complain about wage inequity shut up because they’re

I don’t see it as a temper tantrum so much as being rightfully PISSED that for the second time her cohost was leaving the show and she was the last to know. Sure she makes a lot of money and you may say that should be enough, but she makes that much money because her employers see her as worth it and she’s worth it

This season has been a little too campy. There really hasn’t been any...high stakes stuff. This isn’t the Stassi we need, it’s the Stassi we deserve.
