Corvette may not have a manual past the C7 generation. The mid engine car appears to be automatic or DCT only.

This is why I used to pay extra to have people I trusted to work on cars I care about. They do the with right and if they’re going to romp on my car, I can at least trust their skills enough to not take 8000 miles off my clutch. I love my manuals, but my understanding is that this 10 speed is about as good as torque converter automatics get, on par with the best ZF and Aisin 8 speeds.

I wouldn't know. I've never owned a FWD car. I don't imagine they're any better on hill starts than a RWD car though.
