Could be a flipper, could be a collector, could be a guy unsatisfied with the $50,000 minimum price of buying a new AWD minivan.

These aren’t deep cuts. Just dealer incentives that won’t do crap for buyers.
What a shit headline - here I was expecting Ford put $22,500 on the hood of each Lightning.
Well that headline isn’t misleading at all... /S
Sam Walton drove a late 70s F-150 while Wal-Mart was expanding. Walton’s image wasn’t in his vehicle; it was in the business of his stores.
My feeling about buying “toys” is that you should be able to afford the toy outright without needing a loan. Not saying you should ultimately buy it that way, but you should be able to endure that financial impact; everyone should evaluate their own financial situation, what interest rates are, and what other…
Wow. Someone making less than a $1m a year was even allowed to buy a $770k car? Who gave him the loan? That was moronic on the loan provider. Man I got grilled while securing a loan for a $54k car when my wife and I made ~$160k a year together. I can’t believe someone making, best case scenario $480k a year (doing…
I’m probably biased, because I have one, but the Buick Regal TourX is an amazing station wagon, that most people didn’t even know existed when new.
Now, you can snag low mileage ones for under $25K.
It is an amazingly capable vehicle. With the back seats down, it offers more cargo space then many mid-sized SUVs.
Plenty…
C4 Corvette - well maintained examples are easily had for less than $15,000. Sports car handling, good looks, readily available parts, reasonable reliability and very little depreciation at an outstanding price. I’ll challenge anyone to try and find a better performing convertible for less!
Keeping and maintaining the car you currently have...
Another counterpoint:
WAIT!!!.
If that Azera has a clean title and service recordsd, that’s the answer. People will pay 4x that for a similar sized turd Japanese SUV with the same 75K miles that won’t outperform the Azera in any category that is actually useful to the new owner.
Counterpoint: none of these are terrible. They’re all perfectly adequate, perfectly average cars from their period in history.
Any racetrack with a long enough straight.
Sure, but when I tell the wife how fast it goes, she’ll still tell me I can’t get one!
Yes, yes, all well-and-good, BUT does the interior leather come strictly from cows that were raised on farms with non-barbed fences? You know what they say: only barbarians use leather from cows that scratched themselves on barbed wire.
Autotrader has them between $900 for a salvage that doesn’t run, up to $29k for one that runs with 28k miles. NP, since most of the horrid additions would be easy to remove.
Wait...did the Truck Hierarchy article get taken down already??
two wheels down; shiny side up
