I def want to hang out! We can be classless together.

Welcome back, fellow DCist.

Cool, thank you! :)

I don't think they are! But I'll call tomorrow.

Ok, I have a small #firstworldproblem here and I'm not sure what to do: today I was at Victoria's Secret. I bought a fair amount, which is why I didn't realize until I got home (just now) that the cashier didn't put one item in my bag. Do I go back tomorrow and claim it? Will they believe me? I've never worked in

Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I just did a Europe -> North America move without a job or any friends. A week later, I have an apartment and a job (I kind of hate it and I'm still looking for others, but it pays the bills for now) and I'm working on making friends. I'm still kinda freaking out about it but everything seems to be going ok so far and

Fingers crossed for you! I won't have a car so I won't be worrying about traffic but that could definitely be harrowing.

This is all great advice! I'm 22, so I won't discount Adams Morgan quite yet, but I'm excited to explore all of it.

:(

It's the only one I've read of his so far, so I don't know how it compares to the others, but my friend tells me it's less surreal than the others? Maybe you'll like it better a second time!

It's the only one I've read so far, but I'm definitely going to read the rest now!

That's good to hear. I think I'm just freaking myself out a little bit because I've been marathoning House of Cards this weekend.

I'll be there this coming weekend! Do you have a jez email or something?

I'm halfway through Norwegian Wood. It's so good.

There does!!! I would have no idea where to meet but if anyone else arranges one I would definitely go.

Yeah, the history was a big draw for me! Thank you. :)

Ooh, thank you, I'll definitely check that site out. I don't have a place yet, so I might end up in the burbs too. But I like cities in general so here's hoping!

Haha, I have done the overseas move to a new city before too, but for some reason I'm much more scared about this one! But thanks - you're totally right. I'm really excited to wander around and get lost a lot.

Ok, not sure if anyone will see this, but: I'm moving to DC in a few days! Yay! But I am coming from overseas and I'm nervous to be in a city that I've never been to before and where I know no one. DC people, please reassure me that it's a great place to live and I'm not making a really bad decision?
