I hope it’s the former. It would be concerning if it’s the latter. I don’t think it’s healthy for the genre for having so few younger players. Blood needs to be refreshed.

Tim Allen I’d say is possible, but Tom Hanks? No chance in hell. I bet just hiring him would take the equivalent of half the budget.

Because this is a film made in Japan for Japanese audiences first and foremost.

Japan is not racially diverse, so you can’t cast an entire film of Japanese-European actors. Heck, you’d be lucky if you found just one actor!

Good luck fiding German actors who can speak Japanese like natives...

One thing, though. I hear way too often the argument of “there can’t be a timeline because Nintendo didn’t plan any of this in advance”. And that’s a fallacious argument.

As other people have already pointed out, the Zelda timeline has ALWAYS been a thing. There’re just too many hints throughout the series to think otherwise.

The issue, though, is that Nintendo only considered it as small nod at long time fans, without any major significance. Thus, they never put too much thought on it.…

I’d say that if you take off the nostalgia goggles, design-wise the JP/EU version just crushes the US version... but then again this product is all about nostalgia goggles.
