Basically it’s way sleeker and overall easier on the eyes. They made a better job guiding the eyes with the different tones of grey.

Out of the things you list, only “wrote out all the dialogue” properly falls into the writing position.
“She ends up meeting up with everyone at the end because she’s turned into a damsel in distress again.”
If they changed “Kirby’s Dream Course” for “Donkey Kong Country 2", it’d be the perfect selection. Seriously.
Great article, but while I agree that the friendship between Sora and Riku is the driving force behind the story of KH2, and that the game is better for it, I think there is a blind spot in your argument, which I think it’s best summarized in this paragraph:
Apart from what other people has already say, there’s the issue that even the more successful studios don’t invest the extra money in giving it to their employees, including executives.
They invest that money in making even more anime. As in, more different series at the same time.
So... it is what we thought it was... they ran out of time and budget (let’s not forget those go hand in hand).
Nice try David.
The reason why they can pay $1000/hour in court proceedings is because legal language is such a specialized and delicate topic that requires an exceptional level of expertise, far beyond most others. In most countries is heavily regulated and you need a license to do it.
“He has a job. He just graduated college, and he has his first job as a scientist”
I’m sorry, but I have to say this: The new character designs are... awful!
Seriously, they’re really, REALLY bad!
It’s true that this has always been a weak point in the “Blade” series, but they seem to get worse in every new installment!
EDIT: Before you say anything, I’m not referring to the giant tits (albeit they are…
Don’t count on it. The “Xeno” games are referred to as a series out of convenience, but the truth is they... aren’t.
“However, Xenosaga 2 felt like a rushed job, so let’s see of the director can do better with a longer timeline.”
“Seriously - let’s get the Xeno series OUT from Nintendo”
“Nintendo need to let the 3DS die instead of splitting up these games so much”
“Not going to talk about Chun-Li’s face. Not going to talk about Chun-Li’s face. WHAT IS WITH CHUN-LI’S FACE?“
I still think this game will bomb badly.
I’m sorry, but I don’t think the portable mode is going to convince many people to buy this game again.
Nah, 3 wasn’t as balanced as 2, but it was still strong, partly thanks to the insane amount of content it had. 4 started the downhill spiral, but Critical Finishes notwhitstanding, it was still decent (although those character designs were just the worst).
Man, this is somehow a reminder that the 3D fighting genre is at a low point.
“Virtua Fighter” has been MIA for a decade.
“Dead or Alive” came back strong with 5, but then it devolved into a DLC cash grab fest.
“Soul Calibur V” just killed the franchise, but not before Namco tried to turn it into a f2p zombie with “Lost…
Smash 4 next, please.
