Mercer is usually used as discount Troy Baker, unfortunately... :(

(I think it’s a shame, because he’s a legitimate good actor on his own right, but still)

You know the reason why he didn’t voiced the spin-offs (and the second half of the “Persona 4 Golden” anime) was because those came at the same time he got married and off to his honey moon, right?

The show has already been licensed in most countries of the continent. For example, in Spain it’s being DUBBED already, and will start airing on TV in a few weeks.

However, that doesn’t explain the UK and Ireland...

“Pokémon” is an anime for children. Meaning that the possibility of seeing a proper romance are practically zero.

So yeah, time for these shippers to move on with their lives. (They won’t, but you gotta try).

This is all well and dandy, and I agree with most of it.

But I think the whole endeavour is headed in the wrong direction.

At the end of the day, this is still foreign critique, and Japanese studios will NEVER change their business practices nor artistic vision beyond maybe creating a few shows specially targeted to

Aaaah... Have you actually PLAYED FF9?

That game had more seriously dark shit than the vast majority of the series! Yeah, the chibi characters made the look of the game a bit more lighthearted, but when it comes to its story and themes it was VERY serious.

Even leaving aside that has nothing to do with romance...

“Goku constantly throws Gohan in danger. Always so arrogant and eager to push his kids in harms way.”

Yeah, I know Toriyama said that, but I always interpreted that as him being resentful of his popularity, which prevented him from moving on with the story in the way he wanted to, since the editors always forced him to go back to him because of said popularity.

Why do I think that?

Because Goku was never this selfish in

I call BS here.

Yes, I can totally believe Goku wouldn’t know kissing was a thing. BUT CHICHI CERTAINLY WOULD! I mean, she was all lovey-dovey when they were younger! Are you going to tell me she NEVER tried to snog him, not even while they were “making” Gohan and Goten?

This whole thing reads as yet another attempt by

Actually, that’d be more Batman with a rapier.

From the looks of it... I think they won’t.

Mostly because the focus of BotW seems to be the open-world gameplay, and puzzle solving will be pushed to the background.

Something I find extremely annoying, since I feel they are doing it in respond to the “MAKE ZELDA OPEN WORLD” requests they’ve been bombarded in the last

A big part of the reason is that handheld games in general are (moronically) treated as second class citizens.

Although it’s true that the lack of CDs was one of the N64 biggest downfalls, there was another one that was just as big, if not bigger: The perception that the N64 was a console for small children. A perception that would haunt them for two generations (N64 and NGC).

Sure, Sega already tried that angle, but it didn’t

LOL

I was in Japan last week, and bought a PS4 Slim AND the game while I was there (separately. The bundle was sold out). So one of those copies in mine. XD

Those are actually pretty good numbers, considering “Persona” isn’t nearly as mainstream as “Final Fantasy” and “Dragon Quest”. :)

Actually, nowaday there is a capsule hotel in Narita Airport itself:

Ah, Japan!

Things like this are why I love you so much!

Well, I didn’t see this one coming...

Said no one ever.

Well, “Spirited Away” had many visual tropes from Japanese folklore, which has tons of similarities to Korean folklore (or Eastern Asian folklore in general). So I think it’s not that surprising.

I guess we’d have to see the movie to see if the stories are actually similar or not.

OHMYGOD,THOSEWINDWAKERAMIIBOSAREADORABLE!!!!11!11!!!!

Sorry, sorry! I squeed!

For me it’s more noteworthy the fact that the game didn’t break the 5000 copies mark and it STILL managed to get into the Top 20.

That paints a VERY bleak picture of the Japanese game market outside of smartphones.
