Use a good .nbz indexer and only download from reliable release groups. Next to that, use a newsreader that autoblocks password protected posts like Newsleecher.

Besides: most people I know in the Netherlands mostly download TV shows which they in principle are willing to pay for if only someone would actually offer them over here.
Likewise in most countries in the European Union.
Lots of free usenet servers around (of course with less quality than the payservers) and Usenet payservers cost a fraction of what you already pay for your ISP.
Logical as most ISPs use dynamic IP addresses. But if you read the comments of the makers on this site, they also acknowledge this.
Yes. Which unfortunately also means you will loose the ability to have an untethered jailbreak.
Surprised that people even still use torrents. Usenet is much faster, much more anonymous and, most importantly, you are not forced to upload in order to download.
I don't know for the US, but at least here in the Netherlands we do still build complete new residential areas. And new residential areas also need new infrastructure.

OK, server down, sign-up not possible. Not the best advertisement for a backupcompany if the servers collapse after a link on Lifehacker.
@MattyMattMatt: Sorry, but how many people would do four recordings at one time?
@Ashwin Mudigonda: International comparison of interest rates only makes sense if you also factor in inflation rates and currency fluctuations.
@TheFu: Finding a Docsis 3 modem (albeit the EuroDocsis 3 variant) is quite easy in the Netherlands right now...

@Loodac: Well, I am from Europe, not the US, but sorry, Sony Ericson is pretty much dead in the smartphone area. The only SE phones still selling well are the Walkman non-smartphone phones.
@asl4u: Not stupid phone company's not listening to their clients, just no demands for brick like phones.
Symbian. Because the multitasking and the sometimes incredibly powerful apps (like Joikuspot that now enables the internet on my iPod Touch).
Great program, but shame it does not seem to find any Dutch subtitles. So will continue to use [nlondertitels.com] instead.
@MattBurris: Eh, Matt, why does it matter that you are a web designer? Just because if you are a self proclaimed semi-decent web designer, do you think we now think 'oh, I liked the skin, but if he says it is crap it must be'?
