At least in the US (and to a lesser extent Canada, the UK and some parts of Europe), it's actually easier for non-Japanese anime fans to consume anime legally than it is in Japan, due to all the streaming options now.

I get the impression that the industry survives by paying its animators terrible wages and tremendously overworking them...

Are we back to pre-world economic crisis yet? The numbers dropped off after the mid-00s peak, and have climbed again. Not sure if we've passed the 2006/7 peak yet?

In Mushi-shi for most of the kids roles they cast children to play them (and old people for the old people roles). You can sort of tell they're not as polished as older people putting on kids voices.

Nozaki-kun is a Shonen series which pokes fun at Shojo cliches. I must therefore assume Sagebu is a Shojo series.

It might just be one of the things where I don't enjoy the humour, so that side of the show doesn't do anything for me. If I did enjoy it, then the switch ups might be more tolerable.

From the way manga readers have been talking, I think we can expect more in the future.
