It’s fine, but aside from “Anti-Hero” (which is great and improves on re-listening), the tracks all kind of blur together. Very similar sound on all of them, mostly not memorable lyrics. You can definitely feel the Antonoff touch on all of them.

Uhm, you’re acting like only the Warren’s ghost stories aren’t real, instead of..... you know..... all of them?

Incidentally, the Conjuring stuff in particular I find upsetting because Lorraine *directly* financially benefited from them as a consultant. And I believe I read at the time that her company was a beneficiary of any sequels that might come from the first film. Obviously that has spawned a “universe” of movies.

I have never paid money to watch anything associated with the Conjuring films. I’ve *seen* them. I just haven’t paid money.

So are we not gonna mention that the Warrens were at Amityville? Or that they, like the Lutzes, have been debunked just a shitload of times?

Part of the issue is that the series is setting up a conflict that is going to last presumably for several seasons. A simple battle of good vs. evil could get a little boring, plus if Alicent is positioned as being a monster that would encourage everyone to overlook a ton of bad behavior from Daemon/Rhaenyra.

Playing Devil’s Advocate a little here, but she is still a member of a royal family on a Game of Thrones spin-off. She might have fine speeches and noble moments at times, but a certain level of callous twattishness and willingness to accept collateral damage from the little people in service of her goals isn’t to be e

It was the olden days anyone over 50 has a skull with the strength of heavy pudding

Ser Incelot is still mad cause a girl dumped him like 20 years ago.

The episode ends with Rhaenys killing dozens of innocent people

We needed a few more shots of his club foot to really understand it, so I’m still confused.

Larys being a foot fetishist is a little too on the nose, isn’t it? You don’t need to be Freud to figure that one out.

The Jaunt is a great short story. There’s barely enough for a half hour Twilight Zone episode. But then, they made two movies out of The Lawnmower Man.

I thought part of the problem with At the Mountains of Madness is that Prometheus came out and GDT felt the plot was too similar.

It’s not pedantic, and not one needs to sit down. She’s just pointing out the consistent, obvious mistakes by this reviewer. It wouldn’t be a big deal if this were the first review of this quality, but it’s the norm.

Aemond is not Viserys’ grandson, he’s his son. Again, a small mistake, but they start to add up.

Lazy/sloppy content doesn’t need defending, and 1 and 4 aren’t ambiguous. Have a seat yourself.

Faking Laenor’s death was Rhaenyra and Daemon’s plan from the start. While they are discussing it Daemon outright says, Only WE will know the truth of it.

Daemon also tells Qarl, in somewhat coded language, that there’s a place for him and Laenor in Pentos, if he has the coin (which he then gives him).

Go read Jenna’s other reviews for the show. There’s errors and oversights that are so large they make it impossible to engage with the content. You can’t even have a good chat about it in the comments because the actual substance of the observations are off. It’s not bloviating nerd pedantry, it’s a meaningful problem

I’ve been holding back on criticizing these reviews but I’m starting to get genuinely annoyed at the sloppiness. So many mistakes like...
