I know I’m in the minority as a liker of Temple of Doom, but I’ve never heard anything resembling the criticism that movie gets directed at Last Crusade. That was a real head-shake line for me too. 

I never thought Crystal Skull’s missteps were updating Indy to a 50s setting, both literally and in terms of the cinematic inspirations (Russians, A-Bombs, Aliens) from the pulp films of that era. In fact, it seems like a great way to modernize the character - insisting that he needs to be hunting Christian artifacts

I think the fact that they DIDN’T watch the clip is kind of the perfect condemnation of how internet conversations work these days.
