Watched this over the weekend and fell in love with it (and Radha).  

It “works” is an understatement. A genuinely troubling film that is difficult to watch. Lurid, ugly, unrelenting. A true classic. I strongly agree with you: it’s a must see for anyone even remotely interested in the genre.
