STRONG agree. This show was always MUCH smarter than it was given credit for. It’s a near-perfect satire of the tech world, so expertly done. I believe, as you do, that in hindsight it will be much more appreciated ... which is typical of Mike Judge’s work.

I just said EXACTLY this in another comment. WHAT are we missing here?! I don’t follow this at all. It’s not even betrayal, is it? She didn’t even know Saul had an asset in Russia, did she? She’s just relaying a message from Yvegny and giving Saul the option. What’s the controversy?

I must be dense because I’m not following this plot line. Yvegny tells her that the Russians would be willing to work a deal if Saul gives up his asset in Russia, right? So what does that have to do with Carrie? Why doesn’t she tell Saul,

“[Carrie] getting onto an American Air force base easier than you can sneak on a subway platform without paying”

“The book is very clear that the murders are real”

Her and her husband draw salaries of like $60 or $70k each, and the rest of the $5M in revenue goes back into the park and to their charitable efforts. Absolutely.  I played high school football in FLORIDA in the late 80s/early 90s.  This bullshit was STILL the prevailing practice among “tough guy” football coaches.

This one is fine but Goldeneye is miles and miles its superior.  And I’ve never played the game.  Ever.  Not a gamer.  Goldeneye is the best Brosnan film and one of my top 5 007 favorites of all time.  And it really holds up.

Strongly agree. I’m rather surprised at Alex’s take on this. I’ve always felt it’s  kinda staid and dull, particularly in its second half (the pre-credits scene and the first 30 minutes is fantastic). Not nearly as silly as either Moonraker or A View to a Kill.

I suspect this trailer was assembled for maybe a DVD release?  I can’t imagine it’s the original theatrical trailer

They just went there with Jabba, right? He’s even more disgusting and dangerous and nasty than his previous mentions in the earlier films suggest. He’s the epitome of the villainous rot that the Empire has allowed to fester throughout the galaxy, and he’s so perfectly realized in Jedi.
