I must be dense because I’m not following this plot line. Yvegny tells her that the Russians would be willing to work a deal if Saul gives up his asset in Russia, right? So what does that have to do with Carrie? Why doesn’t she tell Saul,

“[Carrie] getting onto an American Air force base easier than you can sneak on a subway platform without paying”

“The book is very clear that the murders are real”

Absolutely.  I played high school football in FLORIDA in the late 80s/early 90s.  This bullshit was STILL the prevailing practice among “tough guy” football coaches.

This one is fine but Goldeneye is miles and miles its superior.  And I’ve never played the game.  Ever.  Not a gamer.  Goldeneye is the best Brosnan film and one of my top 5 007 favorites of all time.  And it really holds up.

Strongly agree. I’m rather surprised at Alex’s take on this. I’ve always felt it’s  kinda staid and dull, particularly in its second half (the pre-credits scene and the first 30 minutes is fantastic). Not nearly as silly as either Moonraker or A View to a Kill.
