Bingo. I loved the first half and the intense family drama. Loved the [spoiler!] shocking, early demise of Charlie. Loved the mood of unsettling dread. But was sorely disappointed in the last quarter of the movie, where it seemed to spin out of control and became almost farcical.

I had some issues with Hereditary, but I cannot deny that Ari Aster has a singular vision that is unmistakably his own.  Can’t wait for this.
