Metaphors are lost on you, eh?

Since the Super NES, IMO.

I think Ghosts looks pretty good, actually.

Yeah, I expect the Kinect camera to be an extension and not a cornerstone of the experience.

There are a lot of questions.

Sounds like the PS3 with the Cell chip - it was supposed to control everything.

No, but from watching both announcements, it's clear Sony's focus was on gamers, games, and game developers. Microsoft is trying to do the "it does everything" or "it will do all this stuff" like Sony did with the PS3, while the XBox 360 was all about "here's how you can play a bunch of games."

Yeah if its 60fps, then it'll be the better of the two.

Flaming aside...I see one problem with the announcement:

Yeah you were one of the only people that asked a question or responded in a non-fanboy way. I'm not a fanboy of either too, but I just thought that part was interesting.

Because Sony's entire reveal was totally centered around the tech, what developers can do with it, and what games can do with the new tech. Yeah they touched on the social interaction, but that's kind of a back seat to the games, which is what sells consoles.

Well, what I'm saying is that I think it was different camera angles used to capture actual gameplay like an in-game replay, whereas the Madden video was completely unrealistic, pre-rendered footage, to me.

That "gameplay" was not really gameplay they just showed, like he said it was supposed to be.

Right. I will wait to see a review before I buy. I want a campaign that was as fun and immersive as COD4: Modern Warfare.

An interesting and fair question for sure.

It actually looks really cool. But what about co-op? I don't care about adversarial multiplayer.

Here comes the Call of Duty announcement...

You're absolutely right. ShadowFall was live gameplay.

I like the Kinect integration. I don't like the other stuff. They're going away from the games, like Sony did with the PS3 (and suffered). PS4 is getting back to what was great - gaming.

Yeah but Sony has to be sitting back thinking "whew." XBox One is one ugly box.
