I'm glad that there are so many people who actually know where the series evolved from and are speaking up with the same grievances.

Friend, Melee is the holy grail of the "Brawler" genre you described. I think it is actually best not to classify it as a traditional fighting game as well, but it is damn good and one of my favorite games of all time.

Past successes are not an indicator of assured future performance.

Just because you invented something doesn't mean that you carry the same passion or same desire to improve it as time goes on. Look at the guy who invented Mega Man.

I'm guessing you never played Super Smash Bros. on N64 and probably didn't spend much time playing Melee as a hardcore player.

Thank you, Josh.

Hilarious. The game was so unbalanced and broken with dominating characters (Meta Knight) that it was virtually unplayable.

Arrrrgh.

That's exactly how I felt about it.

Interesting. Good way to describe it.

Hopefully Nintendo takes the Wii U version out of the hands of Sakurai. He ruined the last game with wild unbalancing/overbalancing efforts, and removed a lot of the technical aspects from the game and broke the physics as well.

It's worth it, for sure. Kind of reminds me of Secret of Mana mixed with some Final Fantasy 12.

It's not turn-based. Active battle version.

You wily veteran, you!

Ubisoft has cash out the wazoo, so they can afford to put a bunch of games out for a console that might bomb in the end, like the Wii U for example.

I read that Dragonborn was good, but Dawnguard was somewhat weak.

Haha...yeah I've noticed after doing some research. Gives me reason to go back to Skyrim after being away for a long time.

Yeah, $19.99 is some heft for Dragonborn. But a story like this makes me actually not really mind supporting the developer beyond my initial purchase. Even though all they did was sign a book, it shows that they care.

Greatest username of all time.

Media gotta stick together.
