I cannot believe people got mad over this. Amazing. Truly amazing.

It sounds tiring to have to continually look for something to get angry about in an attempt to make yourself relevant and feed your desired image on social media.

Except Porsche doesn’t keep the same car on the road for 50 years. The styling changes are “conservative” sure, but the chassis is updated. Interiors are updated. Engines are updated. Transmissions are updated. New technology is added. And we’re not talking minor revisions here. The car is heavily updated with each

9000 rpm, my dude.

I would be hugely disappointed if it was. EVs are the automotive equivalent of silent sex.

Blah blah blah...if you can't handle it don't buy one for yourself!  We have manual 750HP ZR1 now for God's sake.

I follow a BeamNG Drive channel in my daily news feed. The physics are pretty impressive (to an extent, except when a vehicle glitches on a crash and one part is flung into the stratosphere with a thin piece of “metal” tying it to the car body). The videos are pretty damn entertaining.

It’s not CG! It’s actually a video game called BeamNG .drive, which means you can have fun crashing cars yourself. It’s also got some pretty good driving physics if you have a FFB steering wheel, on top of very realistic consequences if your driving is bad.

A few things here. First, that is almost certainly a Model S motor. It may have come from EV-west, but that’s a Tesla part. On heat, the batteries generate the same amount of heat regardless of pack size, they just have a larger thermal mass to sink it into rather than rely on heat exchangers. The discussion on regen

I completely appreciate the engineering, machining, and fabrication involved here. I really do.

Oh man, yes to this article.

Look, lightweight packages are one thing when you put them on a Porsche 911 or Lotus Exige, cars that were designed FROM THE GROUND UP to be performance machines that are going to spend a lot of time on the track.

So, in other words, trains?

Disagree.

The Prius has a Kamm tail precisely so it doesn’t need an unwieldy long tail. Aerodynamically, there’s no difference because the rear of the car is specifically designed to disrupt the air in a way that it creates a “virtual tail.” Practically, it makes a lot of difference because we’re talking a significant change in

Pictured: somebody who has no idea what a Kamm tail is or how it works or why the Prius has one. Hint: so cars can be aerodynamic without needing long tails. In all likelihood that ridiculous ass-tumour has probably raised his drag coefficient.

Such a strange choice. Not the fact that it’s a traditional automatic, but the fact that it’s a 10-speed. I mean, does a supercharged V8 that makes 650 hp and 650 lb ft of torque really need 10 ratios? This is one of those cars you can drive around in 3rd gear all the time.

Yah but only .4 seconds faster to 60 than a 1993 Supra turbo

In the “interview”—which was picked up by a number of news sites, including our own—Johnson supposedly defamed the members of “generation snowflake” in a generally un-Rock-like fashion, being quoted as saying that “this generation are looking for a reason to be offended.”

It isn’t that baffling. No site in the Gawkmodoverse is going to miss an opportunity to virtue signal, especially at the expense of someone of immense celebrity.

“Meanwhile, The Daily Star’s story continues to be up on the paper’s site; the organization has been sued for (and settled over) libel charges a number of times over the years, but it’s still baffling that they thought they could get away with allegedly straight-up inventing an interview with one of Earth’s most
