I do have experience in that area. Really the only advice I have on that is sometimes you gotta really push to make those connections. It took me a while, but its been worth the initial discomfort in pursuing what's really become replacement familial connections. *internet bouquet of posies*

I wouldn't be so presumptuous as to say I know how you feel, but I empathize. All I can really say is I hope it gets better for you in the near future. Do you have any other family that's close, or close friends that might be able to lend a hand maybe? Just throwing out an idea or two.
