Do you like TV? Do you like horses? Do you like Wii U? Do you like movies? You don’t own the beach. I don’t know how to do that.

Read: Gizmodo Media Group will have to pick a different, less fucking annoying advertising strategy.
I definitely come around less frequently, and definitely don’t comment nearly as much as I used to. This redesign is horrid.
I mean, literally everybody that was using the site before Kinja agrees the redesign is terrible. Conversations are harder to follow in the comments, and the website itself is harder to navigate. It’s only natural that making the website harder to use would result in a loss of regular visitors.
I know you’re being deliberately obtuse, but you are way off point. Is extreme, pointless brand loyalty part of being a Kinja community?
Cookie! You survived the crossover! All is not lost.
It was a thriving community. The change in layout and the commenting system have made it more difficult to have conversations. I don’t blame people for leaving.
Half? I’d say 2/3rds.
I don’t bring it up in my comments, but every time I navigate here it bothers me. Because this is garbage.
We already had a community, and the Kinja switchover drove half of it away.
It depends. If it means we get well-written and acted genre material with sprawling cast and substantial budget that not specifically about dragons and castles, me all for it. Smart move would be to apply GoT model to other, similar genre.
I’m gonna go build my own AV Club, with blackjack! And hookers! In fact, forget the AV Club.
This is what happens when executives are allowed to dictate policy without having the least understanding of the product.
Because this shit has killed their commenting community, which they referred to as “important” to them.
Why not just adapt Transmetropolitan. It’s badly needed in a Trump’s America. Plus, they’d automatically get Patrick Stewart onboard and Warren Ellis has experience writing for animated tv shows.
He should spend all that Amazon money buying AV Club so we can go back to being a website and not whatever the hell this is.
Just watch these two man babies wreck the world for everybody else. It’s very likely.
No kidding!! Dark Matter is so much better. It isn’t at the level as The Expanse but it is worlds away in quality from Killjoys.
This. I tried to get into Killjoys (when I ran out of Dark Matter episodes) and so much about it felt clunky, forced, and constructed out of the leftover parts of other better shows. Dark Matter, by contrast, is clever, funny, textured, and self-aware... and I guess I just answered my own question.
George R R Martin’s Nightflyers sounds like something he’d go to the doctor about. “Doc, the nightflyers are giving me terrible grief”
