I remember reading the article when it came out, in print no less. I remember being pretty misty eyed and filled with joy. It was great writing and a great story. I dont know how Whitney Houston isn’t already in. This lady was as you mentioned the top of her game for 7 years, and arguably has the best voice I have ever heard. In fact, you could argue that Whitney, BIG and Shaka were the best ever at what they did.
