50% of E. coli was blipped away too. 20 minutes later, there was exactly as much E. coli as before the blip.

My biggest disappointment is that G/O STILL has not fixed how completely broken their sites are on mobile. It has been years.
If I recall it’s actually *very* quickly mentioned in the film.
I hope that Jack is actually a weird alien plant person.
I dunno, I think it’d be somewhat fair to think that Yelena’s ‘hunt’ might’ve been saved for some future Black Widow/Hawkeye film or something - think about how long it’s taken some other MCU setups to pay off. How many years was Thanos teased for? Would they really set up a stinger for something to be resolved in a…
I think the thing is that Yelena is (somewhat) right about Clint. Ronin wasn’t just a vigilante, he was a bad guy. I think the implication is that Ronin wasn’t just going around the world killing criminals, he was going around the world killing criminals FOR KINGPIN.
Put a different way - no fucking jury is going to convict him.
So I could be wrong because it doesn’t seem apparent to me yet if they’re rebooting the Netflix characters albeit with the same actors - like M being Judi Dench in two different Bond eras - or just bringing that continuity into the MCU proper, which would be fine because I don’t think fans are gonna care that much if…
Does 30,000 folks at an anime convention possibly contracting Omicron count as a disappointment here? I wasn’t there but I’d be pretty disappointed if I was.
Isn’t Cox’s Matt Murdock rumored to be showing up in She-Hulk as well?
As avid fan of the book(s), I’m kinda bummed what they did with Salvor plot. It’s not that they re-wrote, but they made it super slack and kinda pointless. The first book was a lean and mean machine. I would have kinda hoped same with the series.
The Lee Pace is very good in his role, as is Laura Birn as the Dermeziel,…
The one thing they can’t do at the moment, legally-speaking, is reveal Demerzel’s true identity from the books (“R. Daneel Olivaw”), since they don’t currently have the rights to Asimov’s Robot-stories (per David Goyer in last week’s Reddit AMA). But it’s possible that they could use the core principles of the Zeroth…
I just noticed Jane Espenson in the opening credits for the very first time as an Executive Producer (presumably, a writing-producer). Was this her very first episode, or was I simply not paying as close attention as I probably should’ve up to this point?
Now here is one for you: To show how deep Foundation is and who ONE OF THE CHARACTERS is: Eto Demerzel was just one of the many alter-egos of R. Daneel Olivaw. As Demerzel, Daneel was able to be the original First Minister to the emperor Cleon I. As the first minister, Daneel was able to manipulate certain events to…
Although the “Foundation” Apple TV series isn’t exactly the books verbatim, the show still captures the overall themes of the story. I don’t think the show would work at all if it had to adhere to the ideological dramatic format that is contained in the novels. Overall, the series is pretty well done and has excellent…
The original FOUNDATION novel is the only one that has so little action that it is unfilmable. All the rest have plenty. For example, in FOUNDATION & EMPIRE, the Foundation eventually wins the war, but it cost them 700 ships and half a million men. Plenty of action there. SECOND FOUNDATION is about how the Mule…
It’s a hard show to judge- on it’s own merits it’s great, judged against the source material it’s weak- but then again the source material is inherently un-filmable as it was written.
I really enjoyed this episode. Putting aside the book vs adaptation debate (I get that is part of the point of this article), I found the mega weapon storyline to be an interesting take on the mega weapon trope, but also ancillary to a larger theme that bloomed in this episode.
The political maneuvering is also laughably bad considering “Empire” is a cloned version of himself with access to his own history of political flexing and all the resources of a galactic empire. With the upstart traditionalist religious leader vying for power and the moderate trying to hold on to power, you’d think he…
I listened to an old BBC radio play version of this from the 60's and it was awesome. I had read the 1st Foundation book back in college and loved it but getting to hear the story acted out and not “adapted” was a fun way to spend a long road trip.
