It’s earlier than I expected, which is bad news for The DC Universe...I’d now expect that to be shut down by mid-year, not after twelve months (or 52 weeks!)

All this time and still no love for Gummo.

Guy isn’t dim-witted, he’s a (literally) brain-damaged psycho. I’m not sure what the writers and editors were thinking, but having him come back and try repeatedly to murder Hal was crazy shit. His best characterization was probably when he became a Red Lantern.

It’s actually a Psycho Pirate. I must say I’m used to the Medusa Mask being flatter.

The fur coat is a story clue. The outfits they’ve had her in are signaling that something is very wonky with her...why are her presentation cues forty years off?

Dude, it’s a purple lame pantsuit. I see the theme they’re aiming for, and I also see what they’re doing here — none of this is bad costume design. It’s signalling, along with the amnesia and her lack of understanding about her powers, that something is majorly off with Starfire. You have to ask *why* she’s dressing

Yeah, he’s stopped short of killing anybody deliberately...though there is a flashback where he stands aside when mob assassins execute the guy who killed his parents.

I suppose this means I’ll get a partial refund on my annual plan. I expect the same thing when AT&T shuts down The DC Universe (which deserves to get kneecapped, considering the generally crappy state of the thing.)

As it stands, VRV could theoretically take over the Criterion Collection now that they’ve lost

But Oliver’s an idiot too!

Not likely. Hulu fills a different niche for Disney, as the new service will be PG13 and below. Having Hulu gives them a remunerative outlet for a broader range of content. The Deadpool movies won’t show up on DP...but they can play just fine on Hulu.

Yep. Phase II is expansion, phase III will be empire building, and rise and fall.

The Marvel Multiverse isn’t gone at all, per the end of Secret Wars. Reed and Franklin are busy restoring it, using a mix of Franklin’s power and the Beyonder power that Reed took from Doom. The major changes are pretty much that the Ultimate U is gone (maybe), Miles Morales is on main Earth, and main Earth is no

Porn replaces the sounds, including a lot of the noises from actors. I’ve seen the dubbing process, and it’s hilarious. So much boredom mixed with weirdness.

OG Magnum was also part of the H50 universe, just a touch less blatantly. *This* version therefore cross-connects to the NCIS family, JAG, and probably others. If Richard Belzer shows up, it’ll be off the chain.

I’m very much hoping for this, as the Parsons/Crowley/Hubbard connections litter this pretty thoroughly, and it would be hard to excise Elron completely.

It seems to be for CBS All Access, so there may be less restraint than broadcast.

Not all movies get the upgrades. And often UHD on VUDU shows up as HD on iTunes (Disney, for example.) Fox movies will give you 4K if you buy or redeem on iTunes, HD if you buy or redeem elsewhere (I just bought an X-Men flick on disc for $4, redeemed the code to iTunes, got shiny 4K.)

It can take me five minutes depending on where I stored the disc.

I’ve hit the point now where I’m going digital a lot more simply because I don’t have the fecking room to keep adding stuff. I buy few books in hard copy now. I can download music in FLAC, often in HD. Streaming services and services like VUDU and Movies Anywhere offer extras galore, including commentaries.

Last time I watched a CD was a decade back, one of those Enhanced CDs that are useless for the extras now.
