My prediction is that the series is Lynch getting to do what he wanted to do with the sequels to FWWM, which is to delve into the Lodges. That’s even more bolstered by Lynch setting the series in locations far from Twin Peaks, although inside the continental US. He’d also planned to bring in David Bowie.

Pete covered her when he realized the bomb was there, according to the book (it doesn’t fill in much, just snippets about the characters post-series.)

While Lynch hasn’t read the book, he says, he and Frost probably talked over a lot of the elements in it, given that Frost co-wrote the new season with Lynch. Audrey was injured, but survived because Pete, realizing there was a bomb, threw himself over her. Also, note that the dead characters were played by actors

Early word is that there’s not much more nudity in this than was in the original show. Even FWWM wasn’t a tits ‘n blood fest — there was some nudity (mainly Sheryl Lee flashing her tits) and some blood, but the weird horror and violence were amped up. And the TV series had the murder of Madeleine in season 2 that’s

Yeah, he gave up acting a few years back and now lives in Hawaii. I gather at some point he suddenly decided he’d work with Lynch again, but by that point Forster was cast. Not to mention all of the drama with whether or not Lynch would be involved with the series.

Officially, Boyle was scheduled for something else when FWWM was to shoot. But given the drama between her and Sherilynn Fenn....

Word on Forster is that he’s playing Frank Truman, rather than being a rerecast for Harry.

You're saying they Kirked it to the curb?

It wasn't the premise that was too weird, it was just a show that sucked like a Kirby with a lead who was 95% unlikeable and several comedic fun bombs who were never given any material they were worthy of. When one of your episode plots is about finding out who took a dump in the executive shitter, your show is

I see no problem whatsoever with referring to antivaxxers as bioterrorists. I don’t care which way they lean politically, they’re bioterrorists.

And once again, the bioterrorists win.

Sad news: the show has been canceled by NBC. [TV Line]

Having the Riverdale crew take on Quebecois Organized Maple Syrup would drag this even closer to the Twin Peaks tone, you know.

This must happen.

GODDAMNIT, BARRY!

Aside from Lynch resenting ABC forcing him to reveal Laura’s killer, both Lynch and Frost were occupied with movies during the latter half of season 2...which really didn’t help. Lynch made a grand effort to pull things back on track with the final episode, but by then it was too late.

7 day trial right now, sad to say.

Ohhhh, well-played with the choice of music for the trailer. That subconsciously ties Roland to the Man With No Name films, which gives it an extra mythic wallop.

This sort of thing can leave me cringing from the sheer sonic pain, but this is genuinely brilliant and *hilarious*.
